The gig is confirmed for 14th of March.
Location The Masons Arms, Harrow Rd, by Kensal Green Tube (Bakerloo)
We are fund raising for Treating Autism charity and Prostate Cancer charity.
We will have the whole pub and as a Kensal Town Fund gig event it should be fab. The fund is 10 years old now and to date we have raised just over £28,000 for many different charities, (inc Shelter,WaterAid, Macmillan Trust,Movember, and others.) The Egg, Snatch (or sons of Cream, as suggested by an NME writer..) and Clair Nicholson are confirmed as is Delphi Newman, some Pole Artists and Belly Dancers!
We will have two sound systems, and expect 300 plus people on the night.(280-800 is our min and max over ten years!) Upstairs is going to be a bit of a jazzy feel and possibly slightly more chilled out... As usual lightening Rod from bubblevision will be lighting up the whole pub and Rob from WeloveFestivals.com will be bringing the LSDtaxi to the garden (London cab with Lights lazers smoke machines etc)
There will be a 4 k rig (Sean Downey/Tickle/ Big Ear audio) and Loads of Mics Di boxes etc a drum kit (Bring Snare Hi Hat min)(or what ever) and a big Analogue Mixing desk, controlled by Harvey Birrell (mixer of repute: Flesh for Lulu, Cure, Sugarbabes, etc) We expect each band to do about 45 mins and Dj's performers between. As it's a Charity fund raiser we won't be forking out much for anyone, perhaps a cab or petrol, and a drink if your lucky! Expect a superb crowd, the odd celeb, and loads of fun and laughs! Its £10 on the door and we kick off at 4 loading in stage, lights, gear etc with sound checks at 6. Door opens around 8, first bands on 9 ish and we hope to go till 3, but probably sound down at 2.30am.
